Holsters for the Bersa Thunder 380 Combat Plus

Introduced in 2016, The Bersa Thunder 380 Combat Plus is a more modern take on Bersa’s popular Thunder 380 series. It’s a double-stack, semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 ACP, offering increased capacity and enhanced features compared to its earlier Thunder 380 predecessors.

Unlike it’s single-stack relatives, the Combat Plus model features a double stack magazine with a 15+1 capacity, which is a significant improvement over the standard Thunder 380’s 7+1 or 8+1 configuration.

Other then increased magazine capacity, the Combat Plus has all the features and operational controls found on all the Thunder series of pistols. In some respects, the slightly longer and wider double stack grip make for a better shooting experience for shooters with larger hands.

All the Bersa Thunder models are technically considered a “compact” size 380, even though they are not much larger then the Glock 42. However, they are significantly larger than pocket sized 380 pistols like the Ruger LCP, S&W Bodyguard .380, and Kahr P380.

From a holster popularity standpoint, the Combat Plus is still very popular for concealed carry so IWB holsters seem to be the top selling style.

With inside the waistband holsters, there are two basic styles:

  • Single attachment style
  • Double attachment style

Single Attachment Models

Single attachment IWB holsters are models that use only one attachment point mounting to the belt or waist. These are typically models that mount to the belt with a single metal clip or leather strap.

This style is easier to get on and off, but not as stable on the belt as the double attachment style.

Double Attachment Models

Much like the name describes, the double attachment style mounts to the belt using two attachment points. This style typically features attachment points on fore and aft portion of the holster versus being positioned directly on the side of the holster.

The dual attachment models are a little bit harder to get on and off compared to the single models, but are generally more stable over time.

Outside the waistband holsters are also popular for the Combat Plus, as are paddle holsters. Several excellent belt holsters for the Combat Plus are shown in the images above.
