As the S&W M&P series weapons continue to gain popularity, a number of people seem to be searching for IWB holsters to fit this weapon. At the time of this writing, the M&P series of handguns had 3 models:
M&P 9/40
M&P 9/40 Compact
M&P .45
Of those three, the M&P .45 is the newest and the standard M&P 9/40 is the most popular model. Unfortunately, the M&P .45 won't fit in a holster designed for the 9/40 M&P. The .45 will require a separate IWB holster to fit it. An IWB holster for the M&P 9/40 will also fit an M&P 9/40 Compact model, but there will be a little bit of surplus holster at the end as the Compact series has a shorter barrel.
