Fobus Holsters originated and are based in Israel, but have a U.S. headquarters in PA. Fobus is an industry leader in affordable thermoplastic gun holsters for a variety of uses. They offer nearly every type of holster style there is in a thermoplastic material including:

Traditionally, Fobus holsters haven't utilized a true retention system like a release mechanism or thumb strap. Until recently their holsters have used a "passive" retention system where the weapon has to be drawn a certain way in order for it to clear the holster. For select holster models, Fobus has now incorporated a thumb strap for added security. Fobus offers a lifetime warranty on their products, and seem to be a good value for the money.
